Long Drive, Short Appointment

I had a checkup today at a doctors office that is about 25 miles from
my house. It usually takes about a half hour so I don't mind the
drive, but not today! I was in and put in 5 minutes. I really gotta
look into changing doctors.

Catching up

It's been along time since I've been here. Lots of stuff has been going on. Broken ankles in the family. Turkey day that went from 7 people to 15 then to 18. A carrying on of a long family tradition. Getting ready for Christmas. A long awaited surgery for myself that looks like it was successful......

This year has been an interesting one and as it comes to a close; it is a time for reflection. I'm not one that usually keeps "New Year's Resolutions" so I just try to do better than I did the previous year.

I'm not sure who reads this or anyone does at all..... but to those who see this I hope that your year has been a good one and that you have a wonderful holiday and an amazing New Year!

Like the guy that kept wanting to get a "group song" together last night at the bar. It was kinda sounding like fun at first and then after about the 5th time he came over to the table to ask; it was time to get to the car and call it a night, or punch him.

He's still standing, so........ I obviously decided to just go home.

Global Handwashing Day!
I so didn't know that there was such a thing. The experts say that for kids you should have them sing their ABC's while they wash their hands. That will unsure that they are washing them long enough; and they also say that the temperature of the water doesn't matter. It's the friction between the hands and the amount and type of soap that is used.

Oh the things that you learn when you can sleep.

Finally got out of the house

The kids and I finally got out of the house today; if just for a little bit. We took the new car out for a quick drive to get some food for dinner. For the life of us we cannot find the Burger King that is supposed to be by the house, so we went to McDonalds instead.

"Sally" is driving just fine. Her air works wonderfully and we have decided on a day to drop her off at the dealership to get the stuff fixed that I can't do. Shouldn't be too much to get that stuff done. After that is done it's just the little stuff. It was nice to get out of the house. Now it is time to get organized of the writing of a few more thank yous and some paperwork that I need to get done before Monday.

Feeling Better Today....

This week has been a long one; thank goodness it's almost the weekend. A back injury and stomach bug has had me under the weather this week. As all parents know when one person in the house has a bug everyone in the house ends up getting it. :(

I now have two kids and a husband that aren't feeling well. I also think that my dogs are feeling it too. I decided that today was the day to try and get out of bed even though I don't feel 100% and make myself feel a bit better. I dyed my hair since it needed it badly and went with a different color this time. It looks ok. LOL I think. My little one and I watered the trees in the front yard and the ones on the porch and watched the dogs run around for a bit.

Now on to the laundry that has been piling up the last few days. It's amazing how three men in the house can't seem to find the laundry room.

This beautiful creature (whom I think to be good luck) was just sitting there pearched on my car's radio antenna. This picture was taken with my Blackberry camera phone and is zoomed in but it only has limited zoom on it. I was standing close enough to touch it after I took the picture and I only clicked the zoom button once. :)

I can't believe that it held still long enough for me to take the picture.

I want this blog to be a mobile one. A place for me to jot down random thoughts throughout the day. Some may make sense and some may not. All in all just a place for me to ramble on. Some of the people that find this page may find it entertaining; some may find it absolutely ridiculous and some may find it downright annoying. LOL.

With that said; save for the occasional log on the edit we are going mobile from now on in 5,4,3,2,1............
